Description
• This is a fantastic opportunity for someone in the early stages of their finance career who is keen to develop their commercial finance experience within a fast-paced, growing business
• The role will focus on OPEX business partnering and provide exposure to month-end reporting, forecasting, budgeting and commercial analysis across the UKPP and ANZ regions
• Work with the Marketing, VM, PR, Store Design and Training teams to ensure budgets and reforecasts reflect the latest business plans and trading performance
• Identify and communicate risks and opportunities within the forecast
• Support post-investment appraisals and ROI analysis for commercially approved initiatives
• Maintain accurate cost and purchase order trackers, working with the Shared Services team to monitor invoices, accruals and prepayments
• Co-ordinate monthly review meetings with budget holders to ensure expenditure is recognised accurately and on time
• Prepare month-end commentary packs presenting actual performance against budget, forecast and prior year for senior management
• Work with the Shared Services team to validate month-end journal postings and ensure the accuracy of the accounts
• Prepare and post recharge journals to ensure costs and other financial entries are recorded accurately
• Work with business partners and the Accounts Payable team to complete the monthly Travel and Entertainment reconciliation
• Approve POs and enforce the PO policy, providing training to new starters and ensuring teams adhere to the policy
• Support internal and external audit requests by providing accurate and timely financial information
• Identify opportunities to improve the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting and processes
• You’ll work closely with the Finance Manager and cross-functional teams, developing the skills and experience required to progress towards a professional finance qualification

• Numerate and analytical, with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and growing business
• Studying towards, or intending to begin studying towards, an ACCA or CIMA qualification
• Strong Excel skills, including XLOOKUP, SUMIFS and pivot tables, with an interest in building financial models
• Highly organised, with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
• Able to think logically and approach tasks in a structured way
• A clear communicator who is comfortable working with finance and non-finance colleagues
• Curious, proactive and eager to learn
• Previous experience in retail would be desirable
