What You Will Do: Responsible for the sell-in strategy of select brands at Ulta. Responsible for negotiating & planning sell in and sell thru by month by channel (including budget planning, trends, and all ad hoc forecasts as needed from both a nets and retails POV). Develop strong relationship with buying offices working directly with account buyers and planning teams. Maintain and continue to build relationships with cross functional partners (i.e.: o+o, business planning, demand planning, finance, etc.). Play an instrumental role in the planning and execution of Promotions, Gifting Programs, Launches, and all Special Programs at these retailers. Responsible for all weekly, monthly and annual forecasting. Supervises Key Account Manager. This job is critical to driving the L’Oreal Luxe Ulta business. Job Duties and Accountabilities: ACCOUNT STRATEGIC OVERVIEW: Build support activations to drive the business, comping LY and adding incremental opportunities as needed. Negotiate activations (i.e. secondary placement, in-store visibility, shelf space, etc.) directly with Ulta buying team RETAILS: Sales Forecasting (budget & trends) – topline, by channel, by franchise Advise retail risk & opportunities to assigned targets, if applicable Ability to bridge sales targets and develop startegy on how to achieve NETS: Gross to Net budget ownership & management: Orders, Returns, Markdowns, OCA, Testers Weekly Order Write Management/Forecasting Stock & Sales Planning INVENTORY & ORDERS: Manage business planning relationships for order management Negotiate Launch Qty and Big Bets Partner with retailer on OTB/RTV/WOS position Ensure Ulta is maximizing orders and in proper stock position Partner with O+O on Add/Delete and impact to Sales/Returns Partner with Demand Planning to ensure proper stock is secured in advance MARKDOWNS: Owner & creator of promotional strategy calendar per account in partnership with retailer & omni marketer as needed, to ensure comps to LY and business acceleration ambitions are met LEAP MANAGEMNT: Markdowns, Returns/DIF, OCA Includes: Negotiation & maintenance of promotional contracts, entering events, reconciling chargeback for accuracy, and proving POP with account manager support BUILD STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH RETAILER Participate in Weekly/Bi-Weekly/Monthly meetings with Merchant & Marketing Teams Negotiate visual & merchandising opportunities/exposure & test opportunities in partnership Gain insight into competitive performance (benchmarks) SETS: Drive sets process: Identify sets volume needs per account – Basic + Holiday Work closely with O+O to align on set selection from national & exclusive needs Present cohesive FY set plan to account Align on final qty Negotiate Holiday exposure with Ulta SALES REPORTING & ANALYSIS Monthly Productivity/Ranking Deep Dives into business results as needed Forecast all business driving initiatives MANAGE & DEVELOP PLANNER Training/Developing Key Account Manager Organization Structure and Key Working Relationships: Commercial Finance: Will be key partner for commercial finance in aligning allowance spend, order projection, retail projection Business Planning: Will work hand in hand with business planning team to ensure accurate forecasts are planned on an ongoing basis O+O: Will work very closely with BU providing sales insights and analysis while also putting numbers to new initiatives Demand Planning: Will work closely with demand planning to ensure inventory is available for all planned initiatives Job Dimensions: The Commerce BU Lead on the Ulta team, in conjunction with senior brand management, has the responsibility for achieving the annual sales budget plans as well as the growth of the brand for Ulta, while protecting the customer contribution on the P&L. The role is responsible for managing and developing one direct report.
