A Day in the Life Reporting to the Regional Tax Director, SAPMENA, you will steer tax strategy and mitigate fiscal risks for our Singapore hub ( OneSG ) and designated ASEAN markets. You will also provide compliance support for L'Oréal’s commercial hub in Singapore ( OneSG ) and designated ASEAN markets.
Combining strategic business partnering with hands-on technical execution, this role serves as a trusted tax advisor to corresponding entity CFOs and the Regional Tax Director, SAPMENA.
• Compliance, Governance & Reporting : Guide and support entity CFOs and accounting teams on local direct/indirect tax compliance, Pillar Two (P2/QDMTT), Country-by-Country Reporting ( CbCR ), and internal tax forecasting and reporting.
• Tax Strategy & Business Advisory: Partner with the Regional Tax Director and local markets to provide strategic tax support, optimize the tax burden for OneSG and designated ASEAN entities, and support key commercial projects and transactions.
• Transfer Pricing & Incentives : Drive Transfer Pricing (TP) policy execution and local documentation; negotiate and maintain tax incentive conditions with the EDB, advance rulings, and unilateral/bilateral agreements with relevant authorities.
• Tax Digitalization & E-Invoicing: Partner with business and finance stakeholders to govern ERP tax determination configurations and regulatory e-invoicing implementations across designated ASEAN markets.
• Tax Controversy & Audits: Build strong working relationships with local tax authorities; lead and coordinate tax audits, rulings, and dispute resolutions in close collaboration with the local teams and Group Tax Department.
• Transversal Coordination & Intelligence: Lead cross-functional/cross-hub tax initiatives, facilitate coordination between Country, Zone, and Group Tax teams (TP, M&A, Customs, Reporting), and proactively assess the business impact of emerging tax laws and jurisprudence.

Expertise In Tax Regulations and Internal Standards
• Strong tax technical experience across ASEAN markets
• Continuously monitors tax and customs developments, assessing operational and financial impacts.
• Investigates and analyzes tax risks and opportunities
• Applies internal tax/customs norms and contributes to their ongoing evolution.
• Effectively engages, challenges, and manages external tax advisors.
• Develops and leverages a strong external professional network to benchmark best practices.
Decode and Influence
• Listens carefully and communicates clearly
• Actively decodes complex business scenarios and translates technical tax concepts into clear, actionable advice.
• Commercially minded; formulates pragmatic alternative options to facilitate business objectives.
• Negotiates and influences internal and external stakeholders to facilitate sound decision-making and action
Proactive Business Partner
• Understands, challenges and contributes
• Collaborates well with Finance (CFOs and accounting) and cross-functional teams (Legal, Supply Chain, IT).
• Provides strategic tax (direct/indirect) advice and recommendations contributing to the overall effectiveness of the business
Proactive Risk Manager
• Anticipates, evaluates and mitigates tax risks through rigorous technical analysis and sound strategic thinking.
• Accurately quantifies financial and tax impacts of business initiatives and audit challenges.
• Mobilizes cross-functional resources to resolve multi-disciplinary tax issues with structured action plans.
• Negotiates with and influences internal (CFO, Accounting, Controlling, IT, Legal ...) and external stakeholders (Tax administration, consultants ...)
• Effective and timely reporting to internal stakeholders
Requirements
• Minimum 10 years of relevant corporate tax experience
• Solid tax technical and working experience across ASEAN markets (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and Philippines)
• Demonstrated experience with Transfer Pricing, regional tax incentives, indirect tax/e-invoicing, and customs.
• Thrives in a fast paced, matrixed and continuously evolving business environment
• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Proven track record working within a Big 4 firm and/or in-house multinational corporate environment (FMCG or retail experience preferred).
