POSITION OVERVIEW
As part of the Product Management team, this role will partner with Design, Merchandising, Technical Design, Raw Materials, Sourcing Offices, factories, and mills to help ensure the integrity of wovens product from sample through bulk production. This role will support the development and execution of the product strategy for the brand, with a focus on delivering strong overall value across product, price, lead time, and quality while upholding RL standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Create and maintain seasonal product data and line management tools throughout the product lifecycle; work closely with Design, Raw Materials, and cross-functional partners to receive updates and communicate changes in a timely manner. Leverage analytics, seasonal reporting, and key performance indicators to monitor milestones, category performance, liability exposure, and progress against product and seasonal objectives. Support and manage optimized lead times and key activities from development through store delivery, including yarn development, lab dips, stitch approvals, sample tracking, production readiness, and on-time delivery. Partner with Design, Technical Design, and Product Testing teams to ensure knitwear construction, fit, yarn quality, gauges, stitches, finishing, and performance meet Product Standards/RL requirements. Work closely with the team to maintain development and production costing for Wovens, ensuring costs are updated, accurate, and communicated properly to cross-functional partners. Partner with Merchandising, Raw Materials, Sourcing, and Supply Chain teams to manage sourcing allocations, capacity planning, production status, shipment schedules, and delivery milestones. Support procurement of positioned luxury fabrics by partnering with Raw Materials, mills, and sourcing teams to secure seasonal fabric needs and support design intent, quality, cost, and delivery requirements. Track seasonal liability and platform-level fabric requirements, including exposure, usage, minimums, carryover opportunities, and risk mitigation across development and production. Apply strong financial acumen to monitor seasonal fabric commitments, liability exposure, budget impact, costing, and margin implications; partner with Finance and cross-functional teams to ensure timely visibility, risk mitigation, and alignment on financial opportunities. Identify, escalate, and resolve risks related to yarn availability, minimums, lead times, quality, cost fluctuations, capacity, or delivery while upholding brand standards and operational excellence. Facilitate weekly cross-functional meetings, drive follow-up on key decisions and deliverables, and share category knowledge to strengthen execution across the team.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
• Experience in product management, product development, production, or sourcing, preferably within apparel or luxury goods and strong experience in Knits and Sweaters preferred
• Knowledge of garment manufacturing process and apparel product development, including knitwear construction, yarns, gauges, stitches, finishing techniques, fit, quality standards, and production handoff
• Proven ability to quickly pivot and problem solve utilizing innovative and commercially minded solutions
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills; ability to partner closely with Design, Technical Design, Raw Materials, Merchandising, Sourcing Offices, vendors, mills, and factories
• Strong analytical and financial acumen, including costing, liability management, data interpretation, and the ability to turn insights into practical actions
• Strong organizational skills with detailed attention to product information, process tracking, communication, and follow-through
