Description
The Visual Merchandising Intern will partner with the Visual Operations Manager in order to support select processes leading up to the final execution of brand creativity across all business channels in collaboration with global teams and local vendors including: worldwide and local special window concepts, pop-ups, pop-ins, collection events, store openings, and guest facing and internal communication. In addition to creative projects, they will support the Visual Operations Manager in updating the VM Budget as well as follow up on VM department operational activities: calendars, reports, team administration, and tool orders. The Visual Merchandising intern is a team player with a can do attitude and has a willingness to learn.
Support select activities related to global and local special window installations, across all business channels, alongside the Visual Operations Manager by aiding in the following: calendar updates, local production follow up, budget requests, RFP and vendor communication, technical drawing collection and abacus review, installation updates, and minimal onsite hands-on support.
Help define local window upcycle strategy, according to global guidelines, by supporting the illustration of creative placement per door, updating timelines, communicating with logistics, and contributing with hands-on support.
Support select CSR creative donations alongside the Visual Operations Manager and finance team according to the global guidelines by following up and communicating with all parties involved.
Partner with the Visual Operations manager in order to help prepare select guides and tools needed to launch and execute brand image in-store Pop-ins and Off-site Pop-ups.
Help monitor and reconcile the VM budgets monthly in partnership with the Visual Operations Manager and the finance team as well as participating in select budget revisions as it relates to the business and brand guidelines.
Support the Visual Operations Manager, Communications, Merchandising and Logistics teams in order to help develop and deliver all collection events including in-store retail and wholesale trunk shows and caravans as well as offsite special collaborations. Support includes: budget awareness, calendar updates, VM installation guide distribution, fixture and image follow up, vendor relationship check-ins , tool order communication, logistic partnership, help with onsite installation.
Help the Visual Operations Manager with select tool and creative orders for store openings, renovations, and touch ups in partnership with global and local VM team members as well as Store Planning in line with budget and opening timeline.
Support the Visual Operations Manager and VM field team in the development and distribution of local window and visual merchandising guidelines.
Communicate and collect information efficiently and effectively by determining the best digital channel as well as available resources.
Partner with the Visual Operations Manager to ensure select operational and project requests are completed.
• Minimum of 6-12 months of experience in the window, creative, and visual merchandising, event coordination fields.
• Bachelor’s degree in progress
• Visual learner, visually engaged and detail oriented
• Passionately driven, goal oriented, and consistently takes initiative
• Great organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work well independently and within functional and cross-functional teams
• Desires to work collaboratively and enjoys relationship management
• Learns quickly and maintains a great-performance level in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent problem solving skills
