Buyer Sportswear Luxe Talent , an international recruitment and training firm specialising in Executive & Middle Management positions in the Fashion, Luxury, Retail, Catering, Hospitality and FMCG sectors, is looking for a Buyer Sportswear in Amsterdam . In our recruitment and training practice, we work with various companies in the uxury, Premium and Upscale sectors throughout Europe, where we have offices in strategic cities such as Barcelona, Madrid, Paris, Milan, Amsterdam, London, Lisbon and Munich. Description of the Buyer : Main responsibilities : • • Develop and lead the purchasing strategy for our own athleisure and accessories line • Manage the entire product development cycle, from concept to market launch • Identify and evaluate suppliers; build long-term partnerships • Negotiate pricing, quality standards and delivery conditions; monitor production costs and identify potential savings • Ensure on-time deliveries and compliance with quality standards • Collaborate with the design team to transform ideas into products aligned with market trends and customer needs • Continuously optimise purchasing processes and apply best practices Requirements • • Background in textiles, fashion, business or a similar field • 3 to 5 years’ experience in product development or sourcing, preferably within athleisure or sportswear • Good knowledge of textile production, including quality control and supplier management • Comfortable with numbers – budgeting, cost calculations and analyses • Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems such as SAP • Confident negotiator with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multicultural environment • Fluent in English; knowledge of other languages such as German and Dutch is a plus • Willingness to travel (approximately 20%) • Strong interest in fashion and trends, particularly in the athleisure segment If you'd like to work in the retail sector, don't hesitate to send us your CV!
