The role will lead end-to-end architecture for UKG Pro Workforce Management (Dimensions), guide the modernization and migration of legacy UKG Workforce Central (WFC), and ensure WFM solutions are scalable, secure, compliant, supportable, and aligned with enterprise standards. UKG Pro WFM expertise is the central requirement for this position. The architect will provide deep functional and technical leadership across Timekeeping, Scheduling, Labor Forecasting, Attendance, Accruals, Absence Management, Workforce Analytics, Mobile, Devices, labor compliance, and time-to-pay processing. The role will also own the integration architecture connecting UKG Pro WFM with Workday, Oracle Cloud ERP, Payroll, Identity and Access Management, retail systems, middleware, reporting, and enterprise data platforms. This position partners closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, Retail and Distribution Center Operations, Product, Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Security, Data and Analytics, and external vendors. The successful candidate will translate complex business and regulatory requirements into durable architecture, guide delivery from discovery through production stabilization, and establish reusable standards that reduce risk and technical debt. Responsibilities UKG Pro WFM Architecture and Design Authority Lead end-to-end solution architecture for UKG Pro Workforce Management (Dimensions) across global retail, distribution center, and corporate hourly populations. Define current-state, transition-state, and future-state architecture, including boundaries, dependencies, non-functional requirements, and roadmap decisions. Own architecture for Timekeeping, Advanced and Basic Scheduling, Labor Forecasting, Attendance, Accruals, Absence Management, Workforce Analytics, Employee and Manager Self-Service, Mobile, Devices, and labor compliance. Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, compliant, and supportable functional and technical designs. Establish design principles, configuration standards, reusable patterns, decision records, and architecture governance for the WFM domain. UKG Workforce Central Modernization Provide architectural leadership for migration from UKG Workforce Central (WFC) to UKG Pro WFM, including rationalization of business rules, configurations, interfaces, reports, devices, and data. Identify legacy constraints, technical debt, migration risks, and opportunities to standardize processes on the strategic UKG Pro WFM platform. Guide data migration, reconciliation, cutover, parallel payroll validation, hypercare, and transition to steady-state support. Workday and Oracle Cloud ERP Integration Architecture Design and govern integrations between UKG Pro WFM and Workday for worker, organization, job, location, absence, eligibility, security, and other workforce-related data flows based on approved business design. Design and govern integrations between UKG Pro WFM and Oracle Cloud ERP for labor, financial, costing, organizational, and related enterprise data flows based on approved business design. Define reliable time-to-pay and workforce-to-finance integration patterns across WFM, HR, Payroll, and ERP platforms. Select and govern appropriate integration methods using UKG Boomi, REST APIs, middleware, event-driven patterns, and secure file-based interfaces. Create canonical mappings, interface contracts, error-handling patterns, reconciliation controls, monitoring requirements, and end-to-end data lineage. Technical Leadership and Delivery Serve as technical lead throughout discovery, requirements, design, build, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, payroll validation, deployment, cutover, and hypercare. Review and approve architecture diagrams, functional and technical designs, configuration approaches, integration specifications, security designs, and deployment plans. Assess technical feasibility, articulate trade-offs, and provide clear recommendations to architecture review boards and business and technology leadership. Guide engineers, analysts, implementation partners, and onshore and offshore teams to ensure delivery conforms to approved architecture and quality standards. Evaluate UKG releases and capabilities and recommend adoption strategies that improve business value while controlling risk. Security, Compliance, Reliability, and Operations Embed security, privacy, role-based access, segregation of duties, auditability, retention, and regulatory requirements into solution designs. Ensure architecture supports labor regulation, payroll processing, SOX control, internal audit, and enterprise security requirements. Define performance, availability, resilience, recoverability, observability, supportability, and operational readiness requirements. Lead technical root-cause analysis for complex platform and integration issues and ensure corrective actions address architectural causes. Drive continuous improvement, simplification, cost awareness, platform stability, and reduction of technical debt. Stakeholder and Vendor Leadership Lead design workshops with HR, Payroll, Finance, Operations, Product, Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Security, Data and Analytics, and vendor teams. Communicate complex designs, risks, dependencies, alternatives, and decisions clearly to technical and non-technical audiences. Hold UKG, implementation partners, and managed service providers accountable to architecture, documentation, security, and delivery standards. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Overall Experience: 7+ years of experience in enterprise applications, systems integration, or solution delivery, including demonstrated solution architecture or technical lead responsibility. Mandatory UKG Pro WFM Experience: Minimum 5+ years of hands-on UKG Pro Workforce Management / Dimensions experience designing, configuring, integrating, implementing, or architecting enterprise WFM solutions. Mandatory UKG Pro WFM Domain Depth: Deep expertise across Timekeeping, Scheduling, Labor Forecasting, Attendance, Accruals, Absence Management, Workforce Analytics, workforce rules, pay rules, work rules, scheduling rules, labor compliance, and time-to-pay processes. Mandatory Architecture Experience: Proven ability to produce solution architecture, integration architecture, data flows, non-functional requirements, design standards, decision records, and implementation guidance for large-scale enterprise programs. Mandatory Integration Experience: Demonstrated experience architecting UKG Pro WFM integrations using UKG Boomi, REST APIs, middleware, event-driven patterns, and secure file-based interfaces. Mandatory Workday Integration Experience: Hands-on design experience integrating UKG Pro WFM with Workday HCM or related Workday workforce data domains. Mandatory Oracle Cloud ERP Integration Experience: Hands-on design experience integrating UKG Pro WFM with Oracle Cloud ERP for relevant labor, costing, financial, organizational, or enterprise data flows. WFC Landscape Knowledge: Strong experience with UKG Workforce Central architecture, configuration, interfaces, reports, and migration considerations. Enterprise Leadership: Ability to lead architecture reviews, influence cross-functional stakeholders, guide delivery partners, and explain complex technical concepts to executive, business, and engineering audiences. Preferred Qualifications UKG Pro WFM implementation, advanced configuration, or architecture certification. Successful leadership of one or more UKG Workforce Central to UKG Pro WFM migration programs. Experience with multi-country WFM implementations and complex labor or payroll requirements across North America, EMEA, or APAC. Experience supporting large hourly workforces in retail, distribution, supply chain, or similarly complex operating environments. Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and architecture review board practices. Experience with Identity and Access Management, workforce data platforms, reporting and analytics, SQL, and cloud SaaS operating models. Experience supporting SOX, audit, security, privacy, and compliance controls for payroll-impacting systems. Experience working in Agile product delivery and hybrid internal, vendor, onshore, and offshore delivery models. This individual can move fluently between workforce business processes, configuration, integrations, data, security, testing, and operations; make sound decisions in a complex global environment; and establish architecture that protects payroll accuracy, labor compliance, operational continuity, and future scalability. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance.
