Description
The Laboratory Technician is responsible for laboratory management and conducting tests on raw materials. This role ensures material compliance, monitors material performance, and plays a key part in the continuous improvement of product quality.
• Conducting Tests and Statistical Controls on Materials:
• Perform material compliance tests according to defined protocols.
• Ensure evaluation of results and their transmission to relevant stakeholders.
• Monitor material non-conformities and anticipate potential performance deviations.
• Monitoring and Analyzing Quality Alerts:
• Conduct in-depth tests upon detection of an alert.
• Quickly identify and report declines in material performance.
• Improve responsiveness to ensure optimal quality from the first alerts.
• Ensuring Maintenance and Updates of Equipment and Standards:
• Oversee the proper functioning and maintenance of testing machinery.
• Update standards and protocols to ensure compliance.
• Reduce approval times for new products and ensure maximum equipment reliability.
• Participating in Cross-Testing Campaigns and Laboratory Accreditation:
• Contribute to testing campaigns in collaboration with other laboratories.
• Follow the laboratory re-accreditation process.
• Actively participate in the implementation of robust supplier quality assurance.
Experience: A precise and rigorous profile is sought, with a strong interest in materials. A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control and handling of testing equipment.
Performing and prioritizing quality tests.
Ability to analyze and evaluate test results.
Proficiency in using a monitoring system such as Skylims.
Technical Skills: Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel); knowledge of SAP management software is preferred.
Languages: Good knowledge of English and preferably French.
