Job Description Location: Bengaluru, KA About The Role: The Associate Manager, CDP Segmentation & Activation, will play a critical role in driving revenue, retention, and engagement for our Consumer Revenue organization by transforming customer data into actionable marketing programs while providing dedicated email operations support by helping to manage audience campaign setup, QA, and deployment. This role sits at the intersection of CDP, Email Ops, and Marketing, partnering closely with stakeholders to build audience strategies, activate cross-channel campaigns, and enable personalized customer experiences throughout the customer lifecycle. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in database marketing, customer data, and email operations, with a deep understanding of data schemas and SQL querying. They are equally comfortable working within Customer Data Platforms and Marketing Automation Platforms, translating business requirements into scalable solutions, and troubleshooting complex data challenges. They possess strong organizational and communication skills, thrive in fast-paced and cross-functional environments, and bring a passion for developing innovative, results-driven marketing programs that drive measurable business impact. This individual is naturally curious, enjoys learning new technologies, and proactively identifies opportunities to transform customer data into actionable marketing programs, improve operational processes, optimize campaign performance, and enhance customer experiences. They are comfortable navigating ambiguity, balancing competing priorities, and solving complex problems in a fast-paced environment. What will you be doing?
• Be a primary user of our Customer Data Platform, Treasure Data, to build audience logic, data attributes, and customer segments that support cross-channel marketing initiatives to drive revenue, retention, and engagement.
• Become a subject matter expert in the data available in Condé Nast’s Customer Data Platform, with a working knowledge of additional data available in our Data Warehouse as needed.
• Serve as a key conduit between the consumer revenue and data teams, translating business requests into data requirements.
• Meet with Marketing Managers to review campaign and test plan documents, understand marketing strategy and goals, and build outlined target audiences.
• Support the design and optimization of automated lifecycle journeys by identifying audience opportunities, eligibility logic, trigger criteria, and personalization strategies.
• Provide dedicated email operations support, including campaign setup, QA, audience deployment, and ongoing execution.
• Develop expertise across customer data and campaign execution platforms, serving as a cross-functional resource for audience creation, journey orchestration, campaign deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Monitor active audience segments and live campaigns, communicating significant changes to stakeholders across CRM, Email, Paid, Acquisition, Data Product, and Engineering teams.
• Assist in the sizing and prioritization of new marketing opportunities.
• Coordinate with data team, marketing managers, and third party vendors for any new integrations that need to be set up with the Customer Data Platform.
• Investigate audience, campaign, and data discrepancies across platforms, partnering with engineering, analytics, and operations teams to identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Complete monthly reporting documentation to understand campaign performance.
• Act as a strategic consultant to marketing teams, helping stakeholders translate business objectives into scalable audience, personalization, testing, and activation strategies.
• Create scalable processes, documentation, and governance frameworks that enable marketing teams to operate more independently while maintaining data quality and operational excellence.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual marketing processes, improve operational efficiency, and scale audience activation through technology and process improvements. Who you are:
• 2-4 years of experience in CRM, marketing technology, audience strategy, marketing operations, or customer data platforms. Experience with CDPs, marketing automation platforms, and ESPs preferred. Treasure Data & Iterable are a plus!
• Fluency in SQL, working knowledge of HTML
• Ability to deep dive into metrics and data to diagnose problems, evaluate solutions, and propose new KPIs. Experience using analytics tools is preferred.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects across stakeholders and a strong understanding of digital marketing.
• Solid MarTech understanding: you can see how impacting one lever in a complex system affects many others.
• Knowledge of, and ability to quickly develop expertise in, segmentation, dynamic content, testing methodologies, deliverability, CAN-SPAM regulations, ESPs, and industry best practices.
• Passion for data is a must.
• Strong communication and project management skills, with the ability to manage timelines across multiple teams and set stakeholder expectations.
