Reporting directly to the Brand Director, the Brand Manager Krug & Ruinart plays an essential operational and execution role in driving consumer-centric marketing strategy across the U.S. market in alignment with the MHUSA 2030 strategy.
This role leads the day-to-day execution of brand programming, high-touch consumer activations, strategic partnerships, and commercial roll out for both Krug and Ruinart. Working under the strategic guidance of the Brand Director and in close collaboration with cross-functional teams, the Brand Manager translates overarching Maison strategy into local market execution.
1. Brand Strategy & Annual Planning
• Collaborate with Brand Director, the Maisons and key stakeholders to define brand strategy and marketing objectives for Krug & Ruinart in support of the broader MHUSA 2030 Strategy.
• Lead the annual U.S. brand planning process in partnership with the Brand Director, Strategy & Business Planning, Consumer Insights, Consumer Engagement, PR, Field/Trade Marketing, and Commercial teams.
• Translate global brand guidelines and "big ideas" into actionable local toolkits, platforms, launch plans, and execution roadmaps in partnership with the Maisons and Brand Director.
• Lead the planning and management of the A&P deployment strategy alongside Strategy & Business Planning and Finance to ensure resources are optimized against strategic priorities.
2. Marketing Execution, Partnerships & Experiential Activation
• Direct the 360° execution of all high-touch brand moments and key programs by aligning PR, E-business, CRM, Media, Private clients and Commercial teams: ensuring a fully integrated 360° approach where every consumer and trade touchpoint speaks with one cohesive voice.
• Partner with Centers of Excellence and cross-functional teams at MHUSA to execute integrated marketing initiatives, ensuring delivery against established brand volume, profit, and activation KPIs/ROI.
• Track cultural trends, competitive luxury dynamics, and consumer behaviors within high-end wine and spirits to feed actionable insights into future marketing plans.
• Lead CRM strategy for the US, including audience growth, engagement and lifecycle touchpoints – in collaboration with the Maisons.
• Serve as the operational point of contact with Maison teams to translate global priorities into U.S.-specific execution strategies and stories.
• Act as the face and voice of the brand across trade events, media opportunities, and key networking moments.
• Commercial Alignment & Performance Management
• Drive long-term selective distribution, targeted account positioning, and fine wine integration for Krug & Ruinart in the US.
• Work with B2B team to deliver key commercial account partnerships & drive meaningful partnership collaborations with luxury partners.
• Manage A&P budgets with discipline and strategic intent, ensuring investments are prioritized toward initiatives that build brand equity and sustainable growth.
• Maintain brand A&P in MAP in collaboration with Associate Brand Manager, ensuring alignment with reporting targets throughout the year (LE1, LE2, Landing).
• Support allocation and channel strategies in collaboration with Commercial teams to enable profitable growth consistent with brand positioning.
4. Ways of Working & Collaboration
• Build strong cross-functional partnerships across the organization.
• Maintain close, collaborative relationships with Krug & Ruinart Maisons to ensure alignment on U.S.-specific brand priorities and execution.
• Lead and co-manage agency, distributor, and third-party partners to ensure best-in-class brand delivery and execution.
• Champion a “one team” ethos across Champagne & Sparkling teams, fostering collaboration, clarity, and shared ownership of the portfolio’s success.
• Approach all work with a creative, proactive, solutions-oriented, and positive mindset.
Office/Location: Hybrid 3x a week based out of NYC Office
Compensation: $110,000-$137,000/ annually + bonus
Education: Bachelor’s Degrees, or MBA Degree and/or years of equivalent experience.
Professional Experience & Skills: 5 - 8 years of brand marketing experience, preferably in the luxury consumer goods or U.S. wines and spirits industries.
Practical/Technical Knowledge
Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency and bias for action in driving key business objectives.
Proven track record in designing, planning and executing consumer engagement programs within the fine wine or luxury sector.
Proven ability to manage multi-stakeholder projects and budgets simultaneously with high precision and attention to detail.
Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with the executive presence needed to interact seamlessly with external VIPs, global Maison teams, and internal executive leadership.
Strong business/financial acumen & budget management.
Strong analytical skills to support data-driven decision making
Strong time management, project management and organizational skills.
Comfortable presenting to an audience and gifted storyteller via PowerPoint
Microsoft Office proficiency – particularly skilled with PowerPoint and Excel; Photoshop a plus
Understanding of the U.S. three-tier distribution system
Passion for and solid understanding of the fine wine landscape and/or luxury hospitality codes.
