We're looking for a Senior Manager R&D, Apparel to lead our Apparel Development and Patternmaking teams! Your Mission You will manage the Apparel Development and Patternmaking teams across the full Salomon Apparel range (Snow, Trail, Run, Outdoor, Lifestyle, LogoWear, S/Lab, Advanced Development). You will co-define and steer the strategic actions related to product creation — anticipation and technology — in line with the Apparel BU objectives, and define and drive the operational actions covering development, industrialization and technology to deliver on those objectives. Key Responsibilities R&D Project Leadership • Oversee all Apparel R&D projects for the Development and Patternmaking teams, including complex developments (uncertainty, financial risk, tight planning, disruption, cross-functionality) on cost, performance and lead-time, from project scoping through to start of series. • Lead and drive corrective action plans through to product qualification. • Manage the collaboration with Industrialization teams, factories and suppliers. Innovation & Product Strategy • Contribute to building the Advanced Development / Innovation roadmap and actively participate in relevant projects, ensuring the handover of innovation technologies into the range. • Drive the materialization of ideas through mock-ups or prototypes that meet the brief, coordinating with the Proto Center. • Contribute to building the strategic product transformation plan with a 3-5 year vision, and drive continuous improvement of systems in collaboration with all relevant departments. Budget & IP • Define development budgets according to projects, expenses and investments, and ensure their follow-up. • Anticipate and identify the key elements needed to secure legal protection of products. Team Management • Set direction for the team, facilitate the setting of individual objectives, create the conditions for success, ensure regular feedback, and drive team engagement and development to help them meet both their own and the business objectives. Responsible Purchasing Practices (FLA) Uphold the Fair Labor Association's Workplace Code of Conduct and the Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing principles throughout the supply chain by: • Working closely with the Salomon Global Sustainability team on the implementation of, and compliance with, responsible purchasing principles. • Working closely with the Group Sourcing Vendor Sustainability team during quarterly business reviews and training/capacity-building sessions (at least once a year). • Respecting agreed timelines and balanced annual capacities to accelerate responsible purchasing practices as described in the Responsible Sourcing Policy. Votre mission Vous gérez les équipes Apparel Dev et Patronage, sur l'ensemble des lignes Salomon Apparel (Snow, Trail, Run, Outdoor, Lifestyle, LogoWear, S/Lab, Advanced Development). Vous co-définissez et pilotez les actions stratégiques visant à l'élaboration du produit, sur les aspects anticipation et technologiques, en lien avec les objectifs du BU Apparel, et vous définissez et pilotez les actions opérationnelles sur les aspects développement, industriels et technologiques permettant d'atteindre ces objectifs. Vos principales responsabilités Pilotage des projets R&D • Superviser l'ensemble des projets R&D Apparel pour les équipes Dev et Patronage, y compris les développements complexes (incertitude, risque financier, planning serré, rupture, transversalité) sur les aspects coûts, performance et délais, depuis le cadrage projet jusqu'au démarrage série. • Piloter et conduire les plans correctifs jusqu'à la qualification des produits. • Gérer la collaboration avec les équipes Indus, les usines et les fournisseurs. Innovation et stratégie produit • Participer à la construction de la roadmap Advanced Développement / Innovation et contribuer activement aux projets pertinents, en assurant la passation des technologies d'innovation en gamme. • Piloter la matérialisation des idées par l'intermédiaire de maquettes ou prototypes conformes au cahier des charges, en coordination avec le Proto Center. • Participer à l'élaboration du plan de transformation produit stratégique avec une vision à 3-5 ans, et piloter l'amélioration continue des systèmes en collaboration avec l'ensemble des départements concernés. Budget et propriété intellectuelle • Définir les budgets développement en fonction des projets, frais et investissements, et en assurer le suivi. • Anticiper et identifier les éléments clés permettant la protection juridique des produits. Management d'équipe • Fixer les orientations de l'équipe, faciliter la fixation d'objectifs individuels, créer les conditions de réussite, assurer un feedback régulier et l'engagement de l'équipe afin de l'aider à atteindre ses objectifs et ceux du business. Pratiques d'achats responsables (FLA) Respecter le Code de conduite « Fair Labor Association's Workplace » et les principes « Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing » tout au long de la chaîne d'approvisionnement : • En travaillant en étroite collaboration avec l'équipe Salomon Global Sustainability pour la mise en œuvre et le respect des principes de pratiques d'achat responsables. • En travaillant en étroite collaboration avec l'équipe Groupe Sourcing Vendor Sustainability lors des revues d'affaires trimestrielles et de la formation/capacitation (au moins une fois par an). • En respectant les délais convenus et les capacités annuelles équilibrées, tels que décrits dans la Politique d'Approvisionnement Responsable. Ideal Profile: • Master's degree (Bac+5). • Fluent English. • 10 years minimum of professional experience in product development for the relevant product line, or equivalent. • Knowledge of materials, intellectual property protection, and production techniques. • Strong ability to collaborate with Industrialization, Design and PLM functions; excellent oral and written communication skills. • Ability to manage complex teams under tight timelines. • Skills in planning, organization, facilitation, negotiation and budget management. • Proficient in MS Office. Management dimension: hierarchical management of an R&D team (product developers, patternmakers) and/or management of managers, team of 8-12+ people. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Profil idéal : • Bac +5 souhaité. • Anglais courant. • 10 ans minimum d'expérience professionnelle souhaitée dans le développement produit de la ligne concernée, ou équivalent. • Connaissance des matériaux, de l'univers de la protection intellectuelle et des techniques de production. • Aptitude élevée de collaboration avec les fonctions Indus, Design, PLM ; niveau de communication orale et écrite élevé. • Compétences pour gérer des équipes complexes sous des délais contraints. • Connaissances en planification, organisation, animation, aptitude à la négociation, gestion budgétaire. • Maîtrise du Pack Office. Dimension managériale : management hiérarchique d'une équipe R&D (développeurs produits, patronage) et/ou management de managers, équipe > 8-12 collaborateurs.
