Senior Professional, Brand Creative Narrative

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR Nike Basketball Greater China is looking for a Senior Professional, Brand Creative Narrative to help shape the stories, campaign worlds, and cultural narratives that inspire athletes and consumers across the marketplace. This role sits at the intersection of storytelling, strategy, culture, and creative development. We are looking for a culturally connected storyteller who understands basketball beyond the game itself, recognizing it as a powerful force shaping identity, community, self-expression, and youth culture. You are passionate about crafting narratives that resonate emotionally, translating athlete insights, cultural movements, and brand priorities into compelling stories that come to life across retail, digital, social, experiential, and community platforms. You are equally comfortable developing creative briefs, building narrative frameworks, identifying cultural opportunities, and bring the triumph and teamwork, pace and poetry of sport to storytelling. You are a team player, who can comfortably collaborate with cross-functional teams and agency partners to bring ideas to life. You are able to inspire others and bring people together with the same belief. Most importantly, you believe that great brands don't just tell stories, they build worlds that people want to belong to. WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON As a Senior Professional, Brand Creative Narrative, you will help develop and execute storytelling strategies that strengthen Nike Basketball's connection with athletes and consumers across Greater China. You will: • Develop narrative frameworks, storytelling territories, and creative briefs for Basketball campaigns, athlete initiatives, product launches, and cultural moments. • Support the localization of Global Basketball strategies and creative platforms for Greater China audiences. • Help create and evolve Basketball narrative worlds that connect athletes, products, communities, and experiences into cohesive consumer journeys. • Translate consumer insights, athlete perspectives, and cultural trends into compelling storytelling opportunities. • Partner with Brand Marketing, Sports Marketing, Retail Marketing, Digital, Social, and Creative teams to ensure narrative consistency across consumer touchpoints. • Collaborate with designers, writers, strategists, producers, and external creative partners to bring stories to life. • Ensure all creative work reflects Nike's voice, values, and commitment to serving athletes. • Present narrative recommendations and creative thinking to cross-functional partners and leadership teams. • Continuously identify emerging cultural trends and shifts within basketball, sport, youth culture, and entertainment that can inspire future storytelling opportunities. WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH Day-to-day you’ll work with a team of Designers, Narrative, Producers and Writers. You will be involved in projects across multiple workstreams. Beyond the creative core team, you will also work a lot with external creatives – commissioning various work across multiple disciplines. You will collaborate with your counterparts across the Greater China Studio, as well as the Global team to ensure consistency across our work and help to develop our creative network. Within the broader Marketing organization you will work closely with other teams such as Brand Management, Digital Marketing, Retail Marketing, Brand Media, and City Marketing to strategize and execute against the concept map, developing and delivering creative that answers the brief. Aside from the day-to-day you’ll work alongside other creative leads to drive functional excellence making sure the team get regular opportunity to learn, inspire and share knowledge with each other. WHAT YOU BRING • A minimum 6 years of experience in brand marketing, creative strategy and storytelling, content marketing or related creative fields. • Excellent understanding of the creative industry and are a talent magnet, with a superior network of partners and collaborators. • Experience developing integrated campaigns across multiple consumer touchpoints. • Demonstrated ability to translate consumer insights into compelling creative ideas. • Experience collaborating within cross-functional and matrixed organizations. • Passion in sports and strong understanding of contemporary basketball culture as well as youth culture. • Good experience in managing agencies and internal stakeholders to deliver the highest caliber work. Great presentation skills. Excellent communication in written and oral form, in both Mandarin and English.
