As part of LVMH / Moët Hennessy, The Glenmorangie Company crafts, distributes and markets two of Scotland’s most acclaimed single malt whiskies. Glenmorangie is famed as the leading Highland single malt, renowned for its smooth, complex, and accessible taste, its mastery of wood in cask maturation, and its industry leading whisky innovation. Ardbeg is the ultimate Islay whisky and the smokiest of all Scotland’s Single Malts – and is also famed for its unorthodox, envied, and untamed brand. This is a fantastic role based on Islay supporting current operations at both the Ardbeg Distillery & Ardbeg House. The role sits within the Glenmorangie Company Health & Safety Team although is based in Islay and will support the Operational and Visitor Experience Teams develop and deliver their Health, Safety, Environment & Compliance Improvement Plan whilst supporting compliance with all legislative requirements and internal company standards. Job Responsibilities: • Support site inductions for new employees and contractors. • Conduct daily site walk-arounds to identify required improvements and monitor contractor compliance with RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements). • Support the development, review, and updating of operational written safe systems of work, risk assessments, and method statements. • Administer the company Management of Change process on Islay. • Maintain site compliance documentation, including safe systems of work, risk assessments, emergency plans, and isolation schedules. • Coordinate the delivery of relevant Health, Safety, and Environmental training. • Maintain training records for all site-based employees. • Collate and report health, safety, and environmental data at required frequencies. • Support accident, incident, and near-miss reporting and investigations to establish root causes and share learnings across all sites. • Support contractor safe working requirements prior to contract issuance. • Ensure timely close-out of actions from third-party reports, risk assessments, and inspections. • Maintain site compliance registers and conduct annual testing of the site Emergency Response Plan. • Support internal and external audit preparation by ensuring management checks are completed on time. • Provide guidance and advice to site teams on implementing safety improvements. • Serve as the primary point of contact on Islay and act as an active member of the H&S committees. Technical Skills/Experience: CDM Experience/qualification and knowledge of workplace legislation Process Safety experience and experience of working with regulatory authorities Experienced auditor with experience delivering training Excellent PC Skills (Office 365) NEBOSH General Certificate (or willing to work towards gaining it) IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management (or willing to work towards it) Key Competencies: Ability to work on your own but also as part of a team Have an open mind and willingness to learn Effective communicator at all levels Accuracy and attention to detail with data About us: At Glenmorangie, we aspire to embrace the broadest view of diversity, equity, and inclusion to build teams that are reflective of our customers and consumers, and that celebrate and maximise the uniqueness of every employee.
